phew! finally i can take a breather with 2 days of off day. the past few days have been hectic but resultful. firstly, i have managed to book my basic theory driving test. it will be on the 31st of dec..so i still have quite some time to learn the book. and.. i have also bought myself a guitar bag. now the only thing left is to search for a guitar course. lol.

last sunday in church was a different kind of feeling. because of the someone sitting beside me. things were pretty worrying at first, but all turned out well. praise the lord =)

oh ya! you guys should watch The Guardian the movie. it's pretty touching. after watching it, my eagerness to learn lifesaving has been rekindled. so i hope to sign up for a lifesaving course at the pool soon. it's been a looong time since i went to the pool =(

well well that's all.. will update more again, provided if i'm free !

nowadays too busy to update blog..
very soon attachment will be ending, i can finally have this heavy load taken off my shoulders. in less than 1 month!! or should i put it this way - 3 more weeks!! weeks seems to give the illusion of being shorter..hehe i'm bluffing myself.

with this i have also some plans in mind. i hope to achieve certain things before i enter NS next year. my hands are itching to learn how to play the guitar, so i'm going to sign up for a guitar course. yamaha's expensive so i guess i'll look around at the community center or maybe some private ones. the other thing i want is to get a driving license. yesterday i went to the driving center at ubi with shirley to apply for the basic theory test. it would be held on the 31st of dec.

another thing i hope to do is to revamp my room. so what's gonna happen is :

throw away old furniture
tidy up my room
buy new paint
shop for furniture at ikea tampines
think of room layout

i need to get it done before the new year. and most probably i'll be going to ikea on its first opening day which is on the 30th of november(i think). hope my parents would allow me to throw away the furnitures as they are already unhappy when i told them this plan =/ and lastly, i hope to secure a part-time job after my attachment ends..i need money badly.

in the last of days.. who will be the last one standing?

Went to church in the morning yesterday..worship,then sermon. i couldn't make out what the sermon was about>.< after sermon we carolled a little. a song about something Emmanuel one. then sunday school after that. we learnt about miracles. and doubted on why some churches claimed that they can perform miracles like what jesus and his disciples did in the past. but what's most importantly learnt was that resurrection of the dead isn't as miraculous as spreading of the gospel. because man who have been resurrected will still die eventually, but knowing the gospel will send the holy spirit upon us and we'll be given eternal life. =)

yesterday was a tiring day!someone's back from KL and on the same day she has to move house. met her at bugis mrt when we should have met at lavender.took a bus to her rented flat at redhill and then stayed awhile there and off we went to meet her friends to settle something.

so we took the mrt to aljunied and then they went to search for items which they need for their new house. a mattress was bought and then we dinnered at mac's. after that we came to a provision shop and they bought cloths,ironing board,clothes pegs,buckets etc. all neccessities for a house.

then i realise i not only have to help her move house but also her friend. we came to under her friend's previous rented flat and they went up to get the things while i helped to take care of the things. after everything was down we cabbed to old changi road where her current place of residence is.

did some moving of furnitures and cleaning and off i went to her previous rented flat again to help her move. as there are many things, have to make a few trips up and down. lucky there was her friend's bus to help transport her things over to the new rented flat.

i feel happy for her. because i don't really like her previous rented flat. the environment just sucks. things seem better at her new place with all the facilities nearby. and i get to see singapore's oldest lift !! its really lock-kok lorr..but still it has it's uniqueness..haha.

it was really a beautiful day for me. and also,i got to witness their living conditions. i really respect them, because even though things are simple but they make do with what they have. oh ya did i say they are malaysians?? it's really an ultimate respect for them for living their hometown and coming all the way to singapore to work =)

after everything was over it was already 1am +. then i cabbed home, and here i'm the next morning blogging..lol.

worship was great today, has most of the song i like.. haha. i know, worship is for God and not for us =) but sermon was... well, i was sleeping throughout it =x then talk on homosexuality ..lol. am suffering from loss of voice now.. just recovered from a cold.

i started picking up rick warren's 'the purpose driven life' book to read again. i came to the part where he said that every activity we do can be an act of worship. being at work, i'm guilty of slacking and not doing things to the best of my ability. and the book said about glorifying God in everything we do. in order to do so, we need to do everything as if we were doing it for Jesus. the bible says "whatever u do, work at it with all your heart,as working for the Lord, not for men"

last sunday church service i learnt a phrase which left a lasting impression on me. "If we are faithful in small things, God will entrust us with greater things!" and i truly agree with this. therefore for now, this will be my motto at work =)

lesson learnt:" Take your everyday, ordinary life - be it your sleeping,eating, going-to-work, and walking around life - and place it before God as an offering. Work becomes worship when u dedicate it to God and perform it with an awareness of his presence."

church today.. fell asleep for a short while during the sermon, but managed to struggle and kept awake. cannot be blamed..too tired already as i couldn't sleep well the night before. the sermon talked about Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice his son Issac. if Man is willing to sacrifice his son as an offering, how much more would God sacrifice His son to die for our sins?

and good news! shirley became my sister. she accepted me as her bro since we both have chemistry. and on the 31st will be helping her to move house =) lucky i got off on that day.

during work i received a call from my cousin asking for my details for church camp. well, the camp will be on the 18th to 21st dec. somewhere in the west... hope i'll grow more spiritually thru this camp =D

just some thoughts at the moment..

shirley was right..being a christian is not as easy as it sounds. it isn't about going to church every week to worship God, to listen to his words and etc. what's most important is to follow His words and obey them.

jesus said that certain things must be fufilled in his second coming. one of it is that he must be made known to every corner of the earth.. and lots of people on this earth haven't got to know about him yet. "what if the day really come? i'm not prepared to die yet..i still have lots of things not done.." said the friend. and so am i.

to me it is about whether i'm prepared to face him confidently on the day of his second coming, and right now i can say i'm not =(

everyday's gettin more n more routine..so there's nutthing much to blog about. but in the midst of this i realise something, and that is i won't want to get a job which is so routined in nature next time. i want something more challenging where the tasks done everyday is unpredictable.hmm..any job out there which is like this??

anyway, i really don't know which chapters of the bible to read..its like the old testament is boring =/ and janice if i'm not wrong the song goes like this "celebrate jesus celebrate..den something righteousness.." the song sounds happy..lol. and as for church camp is during the poly holidays mehh? hw come i dont noe ! if it is den might be a high possibility i'm going lorr =)

ahhh!! i typed alot last night but seems like blogger had a problem so i lost everything i typed. anyway yup thats the post for sunday, was meant to save as draft and thinking of continue typing but seems like my kaypo bestie has already posted..haha kidding!

shirley(dunno whether it is spelt like that) is a friend whom i get to knew at my workplace. from malaysia,ipoh. was glad to find out that she's a christian too! actually the first time i met her i already knew she was as she was carrying a bag with a 'walk with jesus' print on it. somehow, i learnt alot from her yesterday.

was having small talk during lunch and we talked about the topic of christianity. she said that we are the most precious of things created by God. because other living and non-living things were created through speaking. God just have to speak and there they will be. however, for us(human), more effort have been put into creating us as we were moulded from the dust of the earth by Him!

ohh! looks like it's a packed december for me. actually my cousin have already helped me signed up for her church camp and i'll be ponning school just to go =/ BC has a camp too!?! heard that it's in batam and it sounds fun... well, shall see how things go =)

church today was... great! songs of praise and worship is okay. until nw i still dunno wads the difference between praise and worship =/ i forgot the lyrics to the song dunno dunno wad righteousness but i do particularly like that song. open sharing session was quite solemn as an uncle's closest people have gone home to be with the Lord.

next come the sermon by that angmoh walter again. it was nice listening to him. and today's lesson learnt was good. even the holy people which most of us look up upon in the bible have commited sin once.

i'm like so tired and sleepy now. then some people have to msg me on msn and chat with me..lol. prissy with her and her band,and i was like "oic..okok wadever" haha..oops! and my classmates and their ranting on attachments again.

anyway(here comes the bad news), i have been posted to vivocity already. think will start working there nxt wk? right nw im just too tired to type anything already..just one word to sum it all ---> SUAY!

a few weeks ago someone in church mentioned the christian life as comparable to walking on a travelator(one moving in the opposite direction). if u dont do anything u'll move backwords. and u have to keep moving forward in order to move on. i think i'm like one of those who just stayed on the travelator without making effort to move forward.

i seriously need to catch up on the bible.. it's like i only touch it on sunday in church? talking about this, i feel like going to new creation church tmr for their bible study in the evening since its my off day tmr. shall see how..

not fated to own a bike??

today i'm going to declare that i'm the suayest person on earth. no one can be more suay than me already. sigh! the bicycle which i just bought a few days ago was stolen!!

hw did it happened? well, i just knocked off from work and i wanted to go to the bike area to retrieve my bike. i was happily taking out the newly bought bike's flashing light from my bag along the way. then to my dismay, i couldn't find my bike!!

to just make sure that i had not remember where i parked it. i walked a few times up and down the area in the hope of looking for it...but no! it's gone!! traumatised by what had happened, i went back to my shop and declare to everyone i had lost my bike. then heeding the advice of my collegues, i went to the nearest police center to make a police report.

actually its quite fun to be at the police center. its like, the atmosphere is really comforting with all the policemen there. anyway, i just poured out my grivence to alan the policeman. waited like half an hour or so before i could do that?? and then someone came in to make a police report. guess what?? her plants got stolen. i was like -_-! and i guess the policemen there felt the same way too.

sigh! see!! told u i'm the suayest person already. think there are more suay things to come like getting posted to vivocity to do all the shit work in opening the new shop again. which means that it'll be a longer traveling time, which means more money spent on traveling, which means more expensive food there, which means more money spent again. and more money spent means lesser salary after minusing everything. =(

last but not least, i just hope the person who stole my bike will get his things stolen too. ever heard the phrase "do not do unto others what u dont want others do unto u"? then he'll noe how it feels to lose something valuable

suffering from the side-effect of the haze now..itchy throat and a slight headache. anyway, today was quite a fun day, especially when it's an off day! went to PS with wendy..then walked around, bought 2 shirts. haha and we discovered an ultra cheapo place to get presents for ppl!! all the items there $2 only =p and she suggested that during christmas when ppl exchange presents i can get the items from there *evil laughs*

after walking around PS we decided to go to the vivo city shopping mall at habourfront which is claimed to be bigger than suntec.its big indeed! but its such a disappointment because its just like another marina square where all the common shops can be found - watsons, g2000,giordano etc. then we went outside to see the sea view and i finally found a usefulness of the haze!! haha, it made the atmosphere looked so much like we're in a cold country like genting..pretty cool!

guess its due to all the walking, we were hungry. then i suggested eating sushi and we landed at habourfront center sakae sushi. was very reluctant to get the plates from the conveyor belt as one plate is quite expensive. then we planned to eat the sushi buffet next tues which is my next off day. and when we saw something which we felt like eating we told ourselves "cannot cannot..buffet time then eat,more worth it" lol.

after that we went to the mrt and parted. took the train to kembangan to church. at the beginning was the ice-breaker game. lucky i was not chosen to be the victim bcos i'm very laughable.. really don't understand why most of them can bear their laughter..haha. after that had our worship and the lesson. love the song "draw me closer to you"..

at the end of the service,i discovered that everyone in the church is like related to one another. felt like an outcast suddenly..

prissy!! shhhhh!!

hmm..just wanted to blog about something that happens a few days ago..as you know i was brought down by diarrhoea and was feverish. being in a company that sells winter product, it is important to know what kind of clothing is suitable for what kind of temperature. a colleague once asked me "this coat can wear how many degrees and above huh?" and to her my reply was "i think is 8 and above?? or 5 and above?? aiya just anyhow tell the customer la..does 3 degree make a difference??"

God made me realise something important through this sickness. firstly..3 degree really make a big difference! feeling feverish i took my temperature and what's shown on the thermometer was 37 degree. the normal human temperature is 36 degree?? and already 1 degree has made my body feel bad enough, whats more with 3 degree?? therefore in everything i do, i must not be complacant.

the next lesson learnt is that we must not take everything we have for granted. what's occuring in our daily life might be a blessing to some. take the example of excretion, how many of us would rejoice over the seeing of hard stool?? but for someone who has been giving out watery excrete for every few minutes, how he longs for hard stool to be passed out!! haha i know this sounds disgusting but oh well..

alright alright.. whatever it is i want to thank God for making me well again. even though i may not like this sickness but You made me realise the important lessons in life through it =)

this morning feelin better so decided to go to church, plus prissy wants me to go so yup. anyway!! today's was great!! i felt as if God has found a way to answer the questionss which i hath asked. if u refer back to the sept 28 entry which i have posted, on whether its the pastor's assumption on the part of the bible or was it wad the bible was tryin to tell us.. today i have indeed learnt from this from the sunday school! the uncle(i dunno his name) talks about how the bible is to be interpreted. it does not matter what the verses meant to me, you or anyone else. but what is important is what the verses itself meant

for example, in mark 16:16 the bible says whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. and in jesus's name they will perform miracles such as drinking poisons and still be alive, healing sick people etc. however, why is it that some of us who believes in him still can't do that?? it's because jesus is only refering to the people he spoke to at that time, and does not literally mean its us.

this has brought me to think back on a website which i visited some time ago which is of the anti-christ. in it was quoted some verses which claimed that they are false statements made up by jesus. and one of it was: "Jesus in John 14:12 & Mark 16:17-18 said: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth in me, the works that I do shall he also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." This implies that Jesus's true followers should be able to routinely perform the following tricks: 1) cast out devils, 2) speak in tongues, 3) take up serpents, 4) drink poisons without harm, and 5) cure the sick by touching them and MANY other of Jesus's "works". Curiously I have yet to see a Christian that can do any of the above on demand."

i guess the lesson which i attended today have an answer to this =)

sighhh!!! am down with diarrohoe... so there's the 2 day mc for me =( was rushed down to CGH last night as i cudn't take it anymore. waited for like 2 hrs for the doc!?!? =/ totally not in the mood for anything. its like i kept going to the toilet for every few mins..i know it may sound exaggarating but i'm serious!! bahh... hope this stupid disease will go away soon...

thinking back on wad pastor price said..
that by applying mud to the blind man's eyes he's trying to show he is the creator, and that the pool siloam signifies him. perhaps this doesnt make sense at all, or does it? first of all, the bible, or rather jesus did not say "I do this so that ye know i'm the creator of the heavens & the earth" or that "siloam is me". is this a part of a pastor's assumption that there are hidden meaning or was it really wad the bible is trying to tell us? hmm..something to ponder about.

am readin the chapter on revelation now. it's really scary..like there'll be chaos which the earth has never experienced before on the coming of christ. there'll be 7 woes.. and on that day man will seek death, but death will not come knocking on their door(Rev 9:6) and 144000 will be saved..only 144000 out of the billions of people on this earth??? oh how true is the parable of jeusus that small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it(Mat 7.14)

on a lighter note, spent the night listening n watching pastor's prince(new creation) online preaching. cool! i still like his preaching and stuffs as there's always something new to learn about...

haha, not that i'm comparing between churches. but somehow i just wish to share the things which i have learnt from the various sermons, be it from new creation or other churches. because what we have learnt in one place might not have been taught at other places =)

so here's the sermon on Live the let-go life!. as you know there are many miracles performed by jesus. of one of the miracles,the bible tells us that a blind man was healed by jesus - who spat on the ground, made some clay n ask the man to put on his eyes, and then to wash his face at the lake of Siloam - John 9:1. putting the clay on the man's eyes doesn't help, until he washes them off at the lake siloam then he started seeing.

why did jesus do that? because he is showing us that he made our body/body parts from the dust of the ground. in other words he is showing that he is the creator. and the word Siloam means 'The Sent One', a pool that signifies jesus himself. the meaning that is trying to bring across to us is that there is no hope in creation, as it has been corrupted by sin, but all hope lies in redemption by the Sent One - excerpted from pastor prince's online sermon.

woke up at 7+ to prepare to go to swimming lesson. we had a match between the girls n the boys. not fair!!! mr poon let the girls go by half-a-pool first!! but in the end we still drawed..hahaha. if only he hadn't let them to such an advantage we would have won lorr!! then took bus 28 back with meiyun as usual. so sad she can only come at the last week of the month.. cos she's already completed the highest level already.

then went home to rest awhile n headed to the swimming pool again for my swim test. throughout i sort of prayed to God to give me the strength to overcome this test. And guess what!? for the first time i didnt felt any muscle strain on my right arm while doing the side stroke!! usually i felt very lethergic due to the muscle tenseness of my right arm while doing the side, but today... wow! and i think im the most relaxed there already..swim halfway can stop n adjust googles..hahaha.

after that i msg pris cos i rmbered she told me to sms her the result of the test. n i tricked her that i failed..lol. then think she wanna comfort me or wad n ask if i wanna meet her. but ended up i told her that actually i passed! anyway, went dwn to kembangan to meet her. dunno where to go so just took the train n like she says stop at any stop she feels like. so we ended up at bugis, den headed dwn to bras basah to look at musical instruments n arts materials. she kept saying she wanted the elec guitar.. haha..

after that went to the art museum to appreciate some arts. even some things like a table in the middle of the room or a bird cage hanging also can be called art?? wad crap =x if thats the case then even ~~pri~~ kindergarden kids also noe lorr.. lol after the gallery we went to PS. then end up at yamaha her fave place i assume..haha. see the music instruments again n this time she gets to play the pianoss. sigh! how i wish i noe hw to play all of them. bcos the music played is really very nice.

went back to sch in the morning. was shocked by something mr boh said abt me..but nvm i cant be bothered abt it anyway. then went to work after that.. as usual!

came home feeling tired. tmr morning still hafta go to swimming lesson n havin my gold swim test in the afternoon. sigh! hope i'll be able to pull thru..i still rmbr i was already struggling for my silver test =/

"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals i am not fit to carry" Matthew 3:11.

This is the testimony of John the Baptist about Jesus. Last time when people wants to get baptised they have to go straight to John. Its like wow!! John is sooo dua pai rite?? But even the dua pai John humbled himself and said that even He is not as powerful as someone who will baptised not with water but with the holy spirit. and that person is Jesus =)

came home from work n realised a letter on the table. "Under the Enlistment Act, all male Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are required to serve National Service(NS).." guess i don't need to say much.. i'm wanted by MINDEF!!!

sighh!! y is everything in a rush all of a sudden?? i've still alot of things not done yet =( i keep telling myself i need to build up on my physical fitness, but until nw.. and there are many things i've learnt halfway n wanted to continue further(swimming, sign language etc) but i can't find the time to do it now! the same goes to learning new things..i wanna get my driving liscense!!

hahaha..as u can see i've my profile edited. all thanks to pris! =) but surely not i write one mahh..i where got so bhb =x kidding !

today is working day again. like whats new?? lol.. actually so far i've heard lots of ppl complaining abt their jobs. and when i listened to their woes the more i listened the more i think my job isn't as sucky as compared to them. actually i shouldnt be complaining in the 1st place..cos my job isn't really that bad after all. even though we(interns) have to 'wrap' the job of a maid, painter, delivery man, storeman etc due to the opening of the newly renovated shop, but other than that so far its really okay.

complaints of nasty supervisors n co-workers by others doesn't relate so much to me. because the people at winter time are really nice. the lady boss, the supervisors, co-workers etc are really understanding and friendly. i don't feel mistreated bcos its like a family there and people take good care of each other. this can be seen from the small actions like the giving of lunch n dinner breaks w/o having to ask them(the supervisors) for it as well as allowing us to sit down n rest when we're tired. where else can u find such a nice company!? (actually should have lah..haha =p)

today there was a nepalese customer. its like u noe nepalese r quite poor ppl who came to singapore to work mostly in the police force. firstly i thought he was just gonna buy something for himself bcos he was looking for jackets. den after some time he walked to the kids department n i thought he didnt noe that so i just told him "tis is children's one" but he smiled n just looked around. then he came upon some children clothes n asked me whether 2 yr old can wear them. i asked him whether he's buying for his children n indeed he's!

due to my lack of knowledge i didnt noe hw big a 2 yr old is so i asked him about how big(size) is his children. but surprisingly he didnt noe too..he just smiled n say 2 yrs old. after chatting with him den i realised that he hasnt seen his children for quite some time already. at this point in time it really touches me.ppl tend to think that its quite normal for a father to buy his children something. but here is a father who wants to buy his children something but doesnt even noe whether it would fit them because it has been a long time since he've left them for work.

sigh! i still gotta write a report on how's my attachment and send to my LO(liaison officer or smthing lidat). and i havent filled up my writing report which i have to write inside my student log book!! arghh so many things not done yet n im lazy n tired to write them...

i just realised something. i prefer serving male customers than females(hope the ladies dont beat me). especially the aunties.. so difficult to serve! they're super picky n stuffs!! uncles r better..they just try only a few pieces n they buy..hahaha. oops hope i dont get any females angry here =p i really enjoyed the satisfaction when customers buy the product after serving them..it really gets u on cloud nine =)

thanks to those who answered my qns =) now i have an idea of wad is a sabbath day.. we're suppose to not do any work on sabbath day! hell no!! i've gotta work on those days =( i just received my schedule from andrew..he didnt gif me off on sundays anymore..lucky thx to zhibin i got to exchange an off wif him this coming sunday for my swim test..phew! but still.. i feel sad because this means i cant go to church regularly =(

well,i'm really tired. thanks to work! today's still the same old shit as yesterday. how i wish i could go back to sch!!! sighh.. hope the shop will faster renovate finish so i can go back to customer service. lol today i serve a customer who wans to buy a woolen cap for her daughter..her daughter is soo cute!! ok nvm..just some random post..haha. anyway the customer's really nice!i really dunno hw to put it in words but i hope i get more of this type of customer =D

on a sader note, just when i really wanna commit myself to church n to know more about God than obstacles like this starts to come. thinking back..i was really afraid of christians last time. i remembered i was shocked when i first attended a church n witness their worship style. then i was asked to attend church again but i was having second thoughts. but subsequently i attended on and off.. hopping around different churches to see which would suit me best n stuffs. i didnt really felt i was a part of the church..but just some weirdo. cos when ppl r worshiping n singing loudly n stuffs, i was just standing there with my mouth closed and lookin around instead of focusing on the worship.

and i told myself, "attend church n never attend also makes no difference". then i find myself never attending church anymore. but i dunno why, recently i feel like going back to church again. is this what christians call the work of the holy spirit?? im confused..

what is a sabbath day?? is it a sunday?? haha..just some random thoughts..

was supposed to wake up for swimming lesson, i did managed to wake up, but on second thoughts my whole body is aching n im tired..so i decided to give lesson a skip. must be all the physical labour yesterday..lol. anyway, i went to church!! the church's Bethesda Chapel in kembangan so i took bus 67. actually i thought i knew where to stop but den i saw this guy on the bus(i saw him at night cycling b4)who is from BC..den when he alighted i quickly followed him! haha..thank god!! if not i would have ended up somewhere else =\

then meet pris and pearlly outside the church n went in together. the worship have already started.. songs of worship followed by sermon. the sermon's on some rather awkward topic like sexuality?? hmm..after the service we were grouped into small groups and learnt about the chapter on genesis. Adam and Eve.. the one qns which my friend asked still bothers me...

decided to swim in the late afternoon since its been a 'long' time(actually only a few days la) i have had a feel of the water. went to bedok swimming complex instead of the tampines one as i didnt want to see mr poon in case he asked why i didnt come for lesson in the morning =x i just wanna lie on my back with waters under me n seeing the clouds drift by above...

at night, went to meet fabian as i wanted to see his husky. finally i pluck up the courage to hold the leash. hahaha..i got pulled by the dog instead!! oh well..dog's cute.. might consider gettin a dog in future..lol.. and anyway thx for the pouch fabian!

woahh!! i officially become an part-time maid today. area cleaning at the new store!! @%#$#! firstly is wiping the shutters.. shutters need to wipe one mehh?? shop open pull up ppl cannot c one what!! -_-" anyway, apart frm that theres also all the shelves and counter that we need to clean. spent so much time scrubbing the dirt out... its damn tiring. but feel a sense of satisfaction after seeing things r cleaner =)

well...actually i'll rather do all these than serve the customers =p hmm.. but guess its a rather good experience on seeing how a new shop is set up. all the little details like cleaning the floor etc contributes to the effort in spicing up the baby. its like from an empty n dirty shop to a clean and fully packed one n noeing that u haf helped in one way or another..the sense of satisfaction is superb! lucky for choco bar to boost up my energy. den at the end we helped in setting up the display by hanging up the coats etc. we were workin so happily that we didnt even noe it was time to knock off ..haha

and thank God!! i can off on sundays!! err..hw to say. because i told Andrew that i'll prefer off on sundays!! lol.. He's really nice luh, hes the operation executive or something lidat n is in charge of the schedule one. He used to be an ex-TP student too!! cooll...

today 1st day at work!!! BORING!!! cos most of the time stand there n not much customer.. duh!! we're selling winter clothings mahh wad to expect?? and the full-timers there r surprisingly nice =) theres really alot to learn... nvm nxt time will be pro liao! n i sort of haf a feeling my supervisor doesnt like me..cos most of the time when customer come i really dunno wad to do n just stood there?? becos i dont really noe the products well n am afraid of making a mistake.. nvm, slowly but surely i'll become a product expert..lol.

but even though customers were few, the purchases they made were quite huge. so guess it make up much of the time wasted. oh ya n today its just a small booth outside only, guess i'll haf a much harder time once the main store renovates finish. and the new store is really HUGE!! heard that we'll be really very busy once it starts...God bless me!! and tmr going to help in preparing the opening of the store..hahah first time experience, hope it'll be good =)

and my pay is $600/mth. the working hrs one day 9 hr and it is 7 days/wk. den i calculate calculate...like wth!!! only earn $2+ per hour sia!!! even bangala worker also earn more than me lorrr!! =( nvm, think i shouldnt be complaining since i'm one of the highest paid in my class..wahaha.

anyway, im working 7 days week!! which means that I can't go to church or swimming during the weekends anymore!!!! boohooo... i wanna go to church i wanna go swimming!!! haiz..dunno whether they got give allowance for religious reason anot??lol.. may God bless me so that i can go to learn more about him =)

feel kinda weird cos its been a long time i've been there..

i received a message from her today..it was so sudden as we didnt msg each other for quite some time already. once again the feeling flowed back n i found myself confessing to her that i still like her. however, i knew that it was not possible btwn us again n it would be better just to stay this way ^^ just wanna quote something meaningful which i found in someone's blog:

and so i became friends with the lifeguard at the swimming pool who looked like jay chou! just last night i went cycling with him all the way to pasir ris downtown east first. den we sat down at macs to have a cup of milkshake to rest. he showed me his ic photo and woah! its like a far cry from wad he's now.. lol.after the rest we went to cycle at pasir ris park..n back home. cycling is so much fun!

and today i met him at the swimming pool again. learnt some strokes from him..to be exact he corrected my strokes. hahaha.. cannot anyhow say if not mr poon thought he snatch his 'rice bowl'. den we went to suntan.. and swim again. totally shagged swimming the darn freestyle...i really need to push myself more for stamina!

after that then i went to his house because he told me he got a pet husky and i wanted to see. he told me his husky very guai one wont bark etc. but upon reaching his house, the first thing that the husky do when he was released from his cage is to come after me! i was scared because it was big in size like a siao gao(crazy dog) going to chase after me.. so i retreated to the area outside his house. den he brought his husky out..guess it was too excited it kept wanting to come to me.

and so he leashed his husky to the railing. but he was still too excited. after much persuasion i finally manage to let the husky smell me and then it starts to get used to me. den i patted it and start to be friend with it..hahaha. phew!

haha.. last fri went to nicky church to meet first before going for night cycle. wow! its been a looooong time since i went to a church! even though i'm a christian.. ugh! but really feel at peace in church.. so its a good thing =) after the sermon then went to ecp to get the bikes to cycle.. and surprisingly betty oso came for the cycle!!

den we cycled all the way to sentosa, quite fun luh but after reach sentosa its like total shagged!! they even had the treasure hunt game.. dont feel like playing but feel like slping instead..lol. but trying not to be a spoilsport just chiong luh! and the winning team will get free breakfast vouncher from macdonalds! den the puzzle for the hunt is like damn difficult luh some mathy questions we have to solve. i didnt contribute anything cos my math sux?? =x

after like everything we cycled back to ecp to return the bikes and were dismissed. by then it was already day break. went to mac to have our breakfast n after tt shared a cab home with betty n his friends. we were total shagged so everyone was like slping in the cab..lol.

anyway.. as mentioned its been a long time since i went to a church. dunno why but i feel like i should attend more of church =) hmm..but service is on sun which means i cant as i have swimming lesson! so guess i'll find a church that has youth service on sat... which is probable that i return to my cousin's church hinghwa methodist!haha

oh ya.. guess its a keep-fit week for me this week. as i'm going for attachment soon and there'll be no time left to exercise! so gonna hit the gym tmr and swim at the pool..

spent some time watching naruto on youtube.the above episode left the most impression on me. its the part which shows rock lee when he was young. he was the worst ninja ever and doesnt even have any ninja skills but instead just rely on his tai-jutsu(i assume is physical strength). Despite his disability, he joined the ninja school and was teased by his friends.However, despite being looked down by others, he spent his time alone practising what others assumed his lousy tai-jutsu, while others might be resting in the ninja school at this time. "if i can't do 500 kicks, then its 2000 squats.." "if i can't do a thousand squats, then its 2 thousand punches" and so on he kept telling himself.With his determination and hardwork focused on his tai-jutsu, he managed to become one of the outstanding ninja. "I want to show i can be a splendid ninja as well, even though i do not have nin-jutsu.i want to prove it to the whole world!" and that was his goal.Therefore, the lesson learnt is that it doesn't matter whether others think u can make it or not, as long as you have the determination and believe in yourself, even the impossible will become possible! and hardwork pays off!!

my project has finally ended.. now looking forward to SIP in sept.

ystd i had my PR presentation.. at the end we had a Q&A session .btw, our project is about coming up with public relations effort for bausch & lomb(their reputation has been affected by their contact lens' strong linkage to the surge of eye infection cases for those who are not aware).Mrs Thomas asked why our grp didnt come up with a name for the new contact lens solution which we suggested B&L to come up with(because the other grps have names for their products) In trying to defend my grp i said that it was not within our job scope to come up with the new product name and new packaging and stuff(because we're a PR consultant not a marketing or whatever department is responsible for designing products). Then the class starts to laugh..and my grp starts to look at me as if shocked.

i was drawn aback by the class's reaction. what is it that is so funny which made them laugh? did i just said a joke or something? no i didnt! it wasn't even something which doesn't make sense. then why laugh? moreover the reaction from my grp made me even upset, because from their reaction they showed that they doesnt agree with my argument and not supportive. in the end mrs thomas said that we can't say its not within our job and that we need to suggest a name for the product to B&L and let them see whether it is acceptable.

however, i still stand to my argument. first of all, we're a PR consultant and not a marketing dept. designing a new product package and coming up with a new name for our product should NOT be our speciality and therefore should not be handled by us! yes we should work hand in hand with the marketing dept but i believe the most we can do is to suggest that B&L dont use the words which are related to the previous contact lens solution which have a link to the eye infection. i don't understand why people couldn't see this point, just because teacher said need to come up with new product then they do it??

it is like in the army. the soldier is a specialist who specialise in land battle. then suddenly he is sent to fight a war at sea which is the job of the navy?? there is totally no link!!

last night i went to watch the fireworks at esplanade..dunno why but i think its kinda boring?? still remembered i was awed by the fireworks last time back in pri sch where i attended the NDP preview..but now, they are like wastage of money to me cos heard that a few million dollars is wasted just for that moment of fireworks??

anyway, woke up damn early today because my swimming class now starts at 8. i was made to swim some style which i dont know how to - butterfly and backstroke. the backstroke was different from the one i used to swim... now i have to use 2 hands to paddle alternately and using the flutter kick. it was terrible, my flutter kick isnt that good..i ended up sinking most of the time. next is the butterfly... i just don't have that sexy hip movements which mr poon emphasize. and he keep saying "try la try la". think i ended up as a housefly?? haha..

and we had a relay which was needless to say i was the slowest. nvm, i believe one day i'll be able to catch up with them. putting me in a class with the elites made me want to work harder even more. even though they are of a age younger than me, but i don't feel ashamed.. it only makes me frustrated with myself why am i so lousy? and it really motivate me to continue practising harder. with that i have decided to lay aside 2 days which i'll spend about 1 hr swimming and also 1 or 2 days where i'll visit the gym..starting from nxt wk onward!

today my post is mostly to complain..

went to look for mp3 today den decided to go to simlim sq. ask wendy to accompany me and went to the bedok interchange to meet her. while waiting saw sister S and zhong yi.. she gd jio zy nvr jio me! den they 2 already bought their mp3 le n show off to me..haha

after reaching simlim went around the shops to ask for the price of mp3. wow! all the shops like different prices?? i was joking with wendy that we bluff the shop person that got another shop sell cheaper leh and to ask for a lower price, den wad if he say "then u go to that shop n buy lor" -_-" ... but wth!!we met an even more attitude shop person than the one we thought out siia! we asked him whether the mp3 can cheaper but he said "anywhere cheap u go there buy lor" wth!!! dont think u the only shop selling mp3 lor... sucker

one shop also gave us attitude, when we ask him how much the mp3 cost, he just pressed the calculator and showed us the price without speaking. the same happens when we ask whether can cheaper anot. KNN..got mouth dont want to talk?? u mute or what siia! think we student cannot afford to buy ah? pui!

then we came to another shop, this time round no attitude...but i think is even worst than attitude. she quote us the price damn high! one creative zen nano 1 GB mp3 costs $160??! KNS.. might as well go rob bank! sumore still wan to offer us cheaper $150?? u part-time rob bank one issit.. @^%#!

after walking for some time then we finally came to a shop which sells for $139. den i ask him whether can lower abit and when he took quite a long time to think i just say " u give me $129 i take " then he keep laughing...like very funny meh? after that he say ok and asked me to follow him to the payment counter. then along the way he kept talking to me and asked me to press my nets password. after i done and the receipt came den i realise he pressed $130 instead of $129!!!! lucky got wendy there to alert me lor! KNN nxt time i must check the price properly b4 i insert my password liao. AND not say i ngiao or what $1 only but this one is integrity lor! Is u say $129 ok den in the end put $130?? KNN $1 also want to cheat! and its base on trust lor..i trusted the sales person that he'll key in the correct amt but he didn't. sumore still wan to chat with me to distract me??

for people who still think i ngiao right lets put it this way. lets say the product sells for $130 den we give the shop keeper $129 u think he will accept meh?? $1 also only wad!.. so the same theory goes for me! $129 means 129 NOT 130! i cant accept it too! in the end he refunded me the $1... stupid person if not this would have been a happier buying trip.

anyway, this made me want to talk about another incident...
a few weeks ago was taking a bus ride, i was sitting at the front.then the bus came to stop and a passenger(lets call him bastard) boarded the bus. can see he no small change to pay the bus fare so with a $2 note in hand,he asked one passenger whether got small change but she rejected him by saying no. as i was sitting near he approached me and ask me. then being the kind me i opened up my wallet and search for coins and ended up with $1.50 in my hand. then i told him i dont have the full amount of $2 and have only these. Instead of changing the $2 with me and asking for my consent he just took the $1 coin and used it to pay his bus fare!!! it was like he just said "can lend the $1?" and i havent even replied he just took the $1 and blonk! it ended up in the payment box. have not been in the best of mood recently.. feel bad to have affected the ppl around me. so far... only my mei i met in my swim class nvr failed to cheer me up n lighten my mood.. the feeling with her is just so different tt i just dont know how to describe it..

anyway, nxt month will be moving to the 8am class instead of the 9. feel quite honoured but stress at the same time.will be gg to learn new strokes but when i havent even master my current one?? felt that mr poon is really going too fast. but i understand tt i'll also have to depend on myself to keep practising.. as mr poon said - its the years that's impt.

strangely...i suddenly thought of the time i was in MJ. one day i was late for school and still waited for the bus until another girl from the same sch asked if i wanted to share cab and i said ok. now that taxi fare have gone up with $2 xtra for peak hours...many must have thought "ta ma de late jiu late" and prefer to be late than taking a cab to rush to school.. hahah..

i refer to the article "Saving corporal shaliq" in the newpaper dated a few days ago.. for once i thought it was a hollywood production.. but back to reality it wasn't! Isreal is going to risk war just to save this poor guy who was abducted by some Palistanian militants.

Heroic it may seems..but i think its really insane!! but somehow, i find this really heart-warming. A motherland doing all it can to ensure the safe return of her 'son'. Will Singapore also do the same if anyone of us is abducted? Just something to reflect about...

i know that everything we learn there's a motive behind... and here's that of NASS

The story of NASSA
The course is adapted from the STA Survival Test (UK), introduced in Singapore in 1979. It is designed to educate and create awareness of basic water survival skills to ensure an individual's safety during an emergency.

The test simulates the sinking of a ship laden with passengers and goods. For eg, the speed swim tests your ability to escape 100 m from the whirlpool that a sinking ship usually creates. "Survivors" are also expected to make floats with their clothes in order to keep afloat while awaiting rescue.

Interesting right? Sometimes we tend to learn things without asking questions and learn just for the sake of it. I can bet that most of us doesn't know why we're taught certain things and even until the time comes for us to use it, we would also not know what to do. Therefore, it is important for us to find out the reason behind the teaching motives. So here is what i found out about NASS.. we're actually trained to learn how to survive a sinking boat/ship/ferry whatever it is that floats on water.

I'm anticipating for my gold test while my silver has yet to come. Though i may not be adept in what i'm required to do but i'm somewhat confident that i'll be able to survive...

Here are basically some of the things i have to do:
1)Demonstrate a compact jump
2)Straddle or tuck jump into the deep end of the pool, and swim 100m within 3 mins
3)Demonstrate ability to "drown-proof" for 1 min
4)Tread water with 1 hand waving and held up for 1 min and the raised hand may be changed no more than 5 times
5)Tread water with both arms immediately for 5 min
6)Undress in water, make float with attire and use it to swim 25 m using legs only
7)Deflate float in water, inflate again before swimming another 25 m with the float using legs only
8)Swim 300m using backstroke, 300m using sidestroke, 400m using front stroke - within 45m
9)Execute 2 dives head first, and 2 dives legs first during the course of this swim
10)Climb out of the deep end of the pool without assistance

My first reaction after seeing this was "wah lao surely shag like hell" but i believe that training makes perfection therefore i'll try my best to train hard for this upcoming test..

Warts

lol..atc has just ended!! er.. supposed to be 3 days but i chao on the 2nd day evening lidat so its just 2 n a half day for me??

day 1
upon arrival at the jetty, brought the cadets to the campsite. den halfway caught up wif coral sec n evss. we came to a junction n they suddenly stopped so i asked wad happen..den meng teck say walk the main road dont walk rubber plantation cos muddly. but i gei kiang say the main road doesnt lead to the campsite..in the end we got our shoes muddy n when we reach the bahru campsite the gate was locked! @&#^! so we ended up walking a long way to the noordin site. and when i see the other schools(which were suppose to be lagging behind us) already catch up with us, i was like "shucks!! shud haf listen to meng teck!!" anyway, day 1 is just settling down n stuffs so i shall not write about it le..lazy to write too..haha

day 2
ok this is the most fun part of the camp i suppose?? cos i went to kayaking, tog with liqi n huiping n shermaine.. but i didnt bring any booties,so ended up borrowing ronald's sandals!!! i almost spoilt his sandals siia, cos there were many times my shoes were stuck in the mud!!! and at one point after bringing the cadets to test for buoyancy and we were supposed to get to shore then while getting up my feet sank deeper n deeper into the mud til i was stuck n couldnt get my feet out!! BUT all thanks to shermaine my good sister!! she saved me from being stuck!! Lol.. so shermaine if u're seeing this thanks ok! without u i think i would still be there now siia =x

den we went out to the seas to kayak.. actually oso nth much la.. so bo liao just bring them out to sea n raft up then paddle abit and come back to shore already. i almost fell asleep in my kayak!! lol.. anyway, still kena say by people we xtra?? @#%^! nvm.. in the end we tested for buoyancy n help around in the paddling practise.. Lol, for show only lah!!=x Haha, i think we were in the water most of the time than in the kayak! All thanks to shermaine!! She wans me to pei her into the water!! Nvm, its fun staying afloat in the water ...haha.

After all the kayaking activities.,actually i don't have the intention of going home.. but dunno why i suddenly just dont feel like staying anymore. So ronald n huiyu also followed me home. Actually i feel bad about leaving the camp just like that..but, i just dont have the mood to think about anything already. Perhaps its the years of repeating the same old things again that causes this eagerness to leave.

This is actually my last atc already, but i don't know why..i dont feel a tinge of nostalgia. Perhaps my passion for all these has already died off.. I really dont wish to involve myself in npcc already...like what delrick say, i can request for a step down. I had a huge urge to post in the yahoo grp announcing of my departure and to vote for a new one who could take up this challenge. because i think i'm not really doing a good job, i don't wish the area to crumble under my hands. maybe i'm not even a leader in the first place...

I feel kind of guilty when people greet me with a "chairman"..and thoughts will come rushing to my mind "do they really regard me as a chairman?" "what have i done to deserve this?" "what have i done for the area so far?" However, after seeing the things that people wrote for me, it really makes me think twice. "dun leave NPCC lah.. U dun care den who's going to care? the area needs u.." "yo chairman of area 8 npcc....dun leave the np okie..try to come back as often as possible lor" to me, its a kind of responsibilty that people have entrusted on me.. i think i will let them down if i say i'm going to step down this moment. i need a few days to reflect about this...

recently, my passion for _ _ _ _ took a turn for the worst...
and i'm wondering if its really silly of me to continue it on..

in my own backyard...
seems that nobody is caring so much for it now, so why should i care too?
the involvement is there, but to me,it's only things on the surface.. not the heart n soul for it. newbies shud be more active than oldies, but ended up the other way round.

firstly i would like to say, if u know that u're gonna get busy n wont have times for all this, then in the first place u shouldn't sign up for it. cos at the end, whether or not u're there doesnt make a difference at all. it would only cause a burden instead.

next up, so much for group dynamics and stuffs with regularly meet ups and suppers etc, but when it comes to the role of supporting none of them was there. in my role as a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ hw many times were they present for meet ups? despite the smses n notices and the call for ALL to be present yet... and participation in events seem almost equals to zero..

a recent lecture by someone made things sour.. if one think they can do a better job fine i'll gif this up to them anytime, but if they're the sort that only keeps talking n when it comes to the actual they r only half a bucket then there're only 2 word for them - SHUT UP!

so i guess its really time for me to let go..

Well what happens is that they purposely tries to make people angry and if that person can tahan within a given time limit, then they'll get $100!!! cool siia can get money for keeping your cool.. One such case is that the person goes to a cafe and while there are people having their meals beside a glass window, he purposely make funny faces and all the disgusted things like picking his nose and sneezing. Another is two of them purposely stand at the lift and chat,refusing to let the lift close while people are hurrying to get to their work on time.Lol.. salutes to all those who can take these nonsense man!

i'm feeling flu-ish right now... hope i don't catch the flu! anyway i have just seen my term test timetable..will be having two subject on the 5th and 7th of june. moreover its a 1 hr paper!!! imagine the amount of effort that we have to put in just for that mere 1 hr...ZzZ.

and 3 days before that will be my unit npcc camp. have thoughts of not attending it...hehe.but guess i'll just bring my notes there to study while the cadets do their sentry duties x) will be having another adventure camp on the 16th-18th. seriously speaking i really don't feel like going for it. i feel that it is more of a burden than fun attending this camp.moreover on the 18th is my birthday!!! i'm definitely not gonna spend my b'day on ubin!! maybe i'll sneak out on the night before the 18th..shall see how..haha. and on the 16th is my swimming test.. such a busy june!!

anyway, i have just 'applied' for a job at wild wild wet. not really 'applied' but just asked my friend for help cos he's working there. he said the hr manager will call me for an interview in 2 weeks time? however this is not confirmed..will see how it goes..

reached MJ at 0740 today..lucky i didnt reach earlier, cos teacher john wasn't there yet. so i couldn't be briefed on what to do. anyway, my role as a finishing judge is just to take down the time and to determine the competitor's position when they reach the finish line.

Overall it was an eye opening..cos some of the games played were simple yet fun and creative. and it was almost the same as the previous year's sports meet - Mrs S.R Nathan as the GOH and also the performance by the Gurkha contingent. The weather was so hot i wish i could go for a suntan..but at the end of the day,i got burnt in the face instead! some pictures from the meet, too bad i couldn't take much pictures and managed to snapped some only..haha.

Just back from Da Vinci Code. To sum it up, it's a movie that 'revealed' the secret that Jesus had a wife, Mary Magdelene. And that their decendants are now walking among us on this earth!! Her remains are now under some pyramid thingy in London..

It all started because of one painting - Leonardo Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'. Which revealed that the 'man' who is sitted at Jesus's right was actually a lady since he has long flowing hair, a hint of a bosom and also feminine - and that lady was none other than Mary Magdelene.

From this painting, other conclusions also sprung up which proof that magdelene was actually Jesus's wife. Before watching this movie, i thought that it was gonna be an anti-christ movie but actually its not so. Because somewhere near the end of the movie the actor said something like when he fell into the well,he prayed to Jesus and he was saved. Which shows that he actually still has faith in Jesus despite all the accusations???

If you come to think of it, this all started because of one supper. Dunno if this is what Jesus is thinking right now...haha

Well,it's actually up to us whether we choose to believe it or not.. Overall it's a movie full of twists and shocking details, i wouldn't rate it a 'good' since it's quite draggy..ZzZ

Tomorrow is SCAS's sports day at MJC...gonna wake up early at 6+ since i have a role as an official there. ZzzZz..

Last night was the end of my beginner's stage sign language course. I received my certificate and passed with an 88%[75% was the passing marks]. Though i have passed but i'm not really satisfied with the result. I want to get 90+%,but i noe its not possible.

I know i'm not being expressive enough.As you know sign language is not only about making hand signs but also have to imagine the words and produce the facial expression, I feel shy expressing myself in front of the class. Maybe if you tell me to make in front of my friend i'll be able to do it..but other people..not so i guess.Haiz..

Hopefully i can pluck up enough courage to do so in the intermediate stage in august. Come on i can do it!! And heard that the intermediate stage will be alot more tougher..so i'll really have to buck up!!

Anyway, last sunday during swimming lesson i did my backstroke as Mr Poon had instructed me to. I was backstroking happily when suddenly "BONG!" i hit my head against the swimming pool wall!!! Ouch!! It was such an embrassing moment..moreover the little girl nearby was watching me with a shocked face as if to say "OMG how stupid are u!!" Haha..and i think i have a dent in my head now..boo hoo..

Btw, my bronze test will be coming in June. And what made me really happy was Mr Poon telling me i could jump straight to silver or gold :

Mr Poon: "He(Me) can straight away take the silver or even gold test "
Rest of swimming students " Har??"
Mr Poon: " You all don't look down on him ok..his standard is not far from you all ah"
Me: *smiling*

Lol..but i know i'm still not up to the standard of gold yet..i'm confident silver will be possible. Yeah!! Which means that i can soon sign up for my life-saving course. Because the life-saving course requires at least a silver cert first before i could join. See how it goes bah...

hi guys,sorry i kept moving my blog =x apologise for the inconvenience caused

something which i saw recently made me really sad..
on the pillars of the bus-stops in pasir ris and the tampines area one could see a white, ordinary piece of paper sticking onto it. just a glimpse of it and one would have shrugged "ah..must be just another advertisement by some ppl desperate to sell their flats/ recruiting tuition students etc" however, if one is really bothered enough, he would have seen this word MISSINGand a photograph of a sweet-looking secondary school girl affixed onto it.

just by looking at the word alone is enough for me to shudder and send chills down my spine. the thought of the infamous 8 yr old huang na and 2 yr old nonoi came flashing to my mind like the flashes of a camera. No.. this could not be happening yet again - another missing person, whose whereabout is only known by the person none other then herself...

what could have happened? is it yet another case of abduction again? is she safe and sound? i guess these are the many questions going through the mind of people who are concerned enough, especially her family members. and through all these cases, it has befallen on me that in times of crisis, your family members are the one who are the most concerned about u.

i hope that the girl be found soon and would come home to her family members safe and sound. i'm sure God will be watching over her =]
